Our In-House Field Trip was really fun. It gave me a chance to do team building and to get to know everyone better. On team, we had different stations, from Battleships to Charades, all working on team building.
My personal favorite part of the day was the Warm Fuzzies. You got a necklace with a pom-pom at the end. We were instructed to walk around, introduce ourselves, and give a sincere compliment.Then the person you complimented pulled a piece of yarn out of their pom-pom and gave it to you, to tie around the necklace string. I heard things like, "I really appreciate that even when I'm down and want to cry, you can make me feel better!" or, "In ELA, I love how you things that benefit the world." Teachers gave and received compliments too! This is my very first year at Central Middle and this activity and the comments I got from teachers and classmates made me feel really at home.
